Hours: 37.5 hours per week

InHealth is offering a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Mammographer to join our Breast Screening team at the Jarvis Centre in Guildford, Surrey.

With a fleet of 5 mobile vans and our leading Jarvis Centre location, we provide vital screening and assessment services to our community. You’ll work alongside an expert, multi-disciplinary team committed to delivering the best possible patient care.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Deliver high-quality mammograms to screen women for breast cancer, providing essential early detection services.
  • Participate in our Assessment Clinics, where you’ll assist with stereotactic biopsies and ensure our patients receive the best possible care.
  • Be part of a supportive and collaborative team, mentoring Assistant Practitioners and helping them grow in their roles.
  • Take on exciting opportunities for leadership, including managerial duties and deputising for the Superintendent Radiographer when required.
  • Join a dynamic rota, covering both mobile screening sites and the Jarvis Centre, offering variety in your day-to-day work.
  • Be part of a team that prioritizes ongoing learning – you’ll stay ahead of trends and technologies in mammography.
  • Work with a diverse group of patients, offering support to those who may be anxious or nervous, and making their experience as comfortable as possible.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A BSc in Radiography and PG Cert in Mammography (or equivalent).
  • HCPC registration.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to support and reassure a diverse range of patients.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • A passion for developing your skills and embracing new challenges in the field of breast screening.

For eligible* roles (which includes this one), we offer an additional payment of £10 per hour, up to a maximum of £50 per day, for each weekend day worked. This is paid monthly in arrears.

*This includes colleagues delivering face to face patient care in the Targeted Lung Health Check mobile units, Endoscopy, AAA Screening, Breast Screening, PET-CT, Audiology, Mobiles, Imaging Centres and CDC’s. Note that this payment is not applicable to clinical staff working within the Echocardiography division, or Diabetic Eye Screening. The Weekend Payment does not apply to those on a flexible working agreement and part time workers that have requested to work weekend hours/days as part of their working agreement. The Weekend Payment also doesn’t apply to those who are working remotely or carrying out administrative work from home.
