About The Role

As a Data Analyst you will be responsible for translating customer needs into analytics and reporting requirements, and for the production and distribution of relevant, timely and reliable information across the business.

You will work in all aspects of the development, delivery, maintenance and management of the reporting environment and associated reporting tools.

The information you produce, and the insight and support you provide, will ensure your colleagues can make the best decisions to achieve our goal, of making healthcare better.

What you will do:

You will work closely with operational & booking team leaders and other support teams to drive business performance to make healthcare better for our patients by:

  • Providing relevant, accurate reporting, enabling business performance to be tracked and understood.
  • Analyse data with key operational leaders to help improve processes.
  • Liaise with InHealth internal customers to understand their reporting requirements and create reports and outputs to meet their needs.
  • Ensure customers and stakeholders are informed of progress on their requests, and with the project activity you are responsible for.
  • Diagnose reporting issues, and undertake rectification works.
  • Manage regular reporting processes, ensuring that they run on time and produce the required outputs.
  • Compile and submit mandatory national data returns and contract reports to commissioners.
  • Protect and prevent data from being misused, by making sure that sensitive information is properly governed in accordance with governance and security protocols.

What you are responsible for:

  • Managing your work, and scheduling your time so that prioritised work is done in the right order, and completed on time.
  • Work associated with conducting investigations into data and reporting issues, for example data quality, discrepancy and mapping issues
  • Ensuring that the regular programme of data extractions, reporting and analysis operates reliably and consistently to deliver the automated outputs needed by the business.
  • A focus on data quality is critical, so you will make sure that your reporting outputs include DQ checks as part of the process of creating, and when reports are in active service, continually monitoring those to spot any issues.
  • Completing technical documentation to a high standard, such that another person could understand and recreate your reporting outputs if needed.
  • Training of new users of the reporting systems (BusinessObjects WEBi) and other reporting outputs such as Excel or similar.

About you:

  • A detailed understanding of data, reporting and business intelligence and insight systems, processes and analytical methods, preferably gained within a health-related field (2+yrs).
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively with operational colleagues as well as be seen as a credible partner to senior management.
  • Advanced experience of Excel and SQL.
  • Experienced in business intelligence software packages e.g SAP Business Objects and MS Data Factory.
  • A knowledge of diagnostic / imaging services such as MRI/CT, screening and other radiological clinical / administrative processes would be advantageous.
