About The Role

You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the clinic by greeting and preparing patients for their procedures. Using a patient management system, you will provide both clinical and clerical support to practitioners, ensuring efficient and effective patient care. You will maintain a safe clinical environment in line with the company’s Health and Safety and Infection Control standards.

A full UK driving license is required, and successful candidates will receive either a company car or a car allowance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients professionally, ensuring their privacy and dignity are maintained at all times.
  • Verify patient identification and complete pre-scan consent and data protection forms.
  • Document patient medical history before procedures and prepare patients for clinical procedures.
  • Perform Intra-Venous cannulations and assess patients’ conditions post-procedure, reporting any changes.
  • Advise patients on procedure details with support from practitioners.
  • Manage clinical risk within your designated work area.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy clinical environment.
  • Enter accurate and up-to-date information into the patient management system.
  • Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct them to the relevant staff member.
  • Monitor and reorder consumables, laundry, and patient gowns as needed.
  • Ensure effective stock control and organization of equipment on mobile units.
  • Clean and monitor equipment, reporting any issues to senior staff.
  • Participate in governance activities, audits, personal development, training, and team meetings.
  • Adhere to safety requirements for the work environment and equipment.

  • Has experience in handling customer or patient queries with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Has strong listening skills and can present information clearly.
  • Understands the importance of patient confidentiality and data protection.
  • Is confident in prioritizing tasks and supporting colleagues.
  • Can follow instructions and work well within a team.
