Your Role as an Audiology Assistant

As an Audiology Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting both patients and practitioners to ensure a smooth and efficient service. From greeting and preparing patients to assisting with clinical and administrative tasks, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality audiology care in a safe and professional environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Welcome and assist patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the procedure.

  • Verify patient identification and provide relevant examination details with practitioner support.

  • Support patients with hearing aid concerns, offering guidance on their use and maintenance.

  • Maintain smooth workflow by managing clinical and administrative tasks efficiently.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, infection control, and data protection policies.

  • Keep clinical areas clean, monitor equipment, and report any issues to senior staff.

  • Handle patient queries with empathy and professionalism, ensuring confidentiality at all times.

  • Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient care.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in a customer or patient-focused environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centred approach.

  • Good listening skills and the ability to present information clearly and logically.

  • A professional, empathetic, and courteous manner when dealing with patients and colleagues.

  • Ability to remain calm and focused in challenging situations.

  • A team player who is reliable, supportive, and proactive in problem-solving.

  • Basic computer skills and experience using software systems.

  • Knowledge of data protection and confidentiality regulations.
